Independent Non Executive Director, Risk & Audit Chair, Board and Business Development Adviser
As 2014 progresses I'm pleased to have completed my IoD Chartered Director qualification and appear to be on track to add one or two Non-Executive Board or advisory roles to my independent portfolio, maintaining my strong links with financial services, risk, regulatory compliance, IT, B2B relationships (investors, partners etc) & 'CRM' - also exciting technology-based business innovation. My career has included continual personal development (CPD) to board level executive, leading to my current mix of non-executive and risk & audit chair roles - often linking my business and systems practitioner skills with a number of professional bodies and with academia too, for the benefit of the businesses and stakeholders I advise and support. Having worked globally for many years within IBM, one of the largest, most transformed and sustainable companies in the world, I am able to challenge and assist the directors and executives of organisations both large and small to achieve their objectives, whether these organisations are suppliers, clients or investors. I am extremely well networked and always work cooperatively with others within and beyond the organisation to achieve outcomes and shared goals. I also challenge business on behalf of the consumer, to achieve better outcomes through transparency and effectiveness, providing voluntary time to emerging SME's and groups, professional and academic bodies, also charities related to executive skills development and sustainable business.
