Keith brings 20 years of executive management, sales/marketing and corporate development experience in the international telecoms/technology/software market. Keith recently completed the successful turnaround and subsequent trade sale of Nanoradio (WiFi chips for mobile devices; Sweden) to Samsung. He currently serves as Chairman of poLight (micro-optic autofocus components for mobile device cameras; Norway).
In 2010-11, Keith was SVP, International for Clearwire (NASDAQ: CLWR; US) and Senior Advisor to Vortal (e-commerce platform; Portugal and UK). Previous positions include: Interim CEO, Moravia; Director, MobiComp (sold to Microsoft in 2008); Chairman, End2End (sold to MACH in 2006); Director, Intellisync (NASDAQ: SYNC; purchased by Nokia in 2006); and CEO of Empower Interactive, a mobile messaging platform software company.
He served as O2 President for European Operations, responsible for Viag Interkom, Telfort, Digifone and Manx; as well as Board member overseeing SFR and four other mobile operators. While at O2 he served as Interim CEO of O2 Germany (4M subscribers; Munich, Germany; €1.5B revenues; 4500 employees).
Keith held the positions of VP International Operations for AirTouch and Director, Southern Europe, for Vodafone. There, he was a director on the Boards of Omnitel (5-10M subscribers; Italy), MobiFon (Romania), Europolitan (Sweden; publicly-traded) and Airtel (5-8M subscribers; Spain).
He became an IoD Chartered Director in 2005 and held non-executive roles in the wireless industry: Amper (publicly-traded; telecoms/homeland security; Spain), MobiComp, Oplayo, End2End, Dot Net Solutions, Bluenowhere; Digital Rum, Intellisync, Celltick, Startrak and Cellglide.
Prior to joining AirTouch, Keith was with consultants Marakon Associates in San Francisco, New York and London. He received his MBA from Carnegie-Mellon Tepper in 1980 and has a BS in engineering/economics from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California. Keith lives in Maidenhead, UK.
